Alice Mae Harvey, the 9th of William and Rebecca’s children, was born on May 16, 1908 in Rich Square, NC. On February 21, 1925 Mae married Preston Godwin Ray son of Henry T. Ray and Henrietta Hargest Ray and of this union four children were born; Ernest Vernon, Doris, Lucille L. and Thornton Harvey. On August 12, 1998, at the age of 90, Alice Mae Harvey Ray died of Dehydration and Dementia. Mae is interred at the Willow Oak Church Cemetery in Rich Square, NC.
