Harveys! Harveys! Hear my call
Come to this Family Reunion
We’re going to have a ball.
We’re 7 generations strong
I’ve wanted to see this happen all my life long.
Put on your walking boots and
find out about your family roots.
You’ll meet family that you’ve never seen.
You might even be related to a king or queen.
How many can look back and say.
“William Henry Harvey” and “Rebecca Scott Harvey”
I’m as happy as can be
to have you as part of "my" history?

The chairman's gave an update on what their groups were working on and in which direction they would like to go.
The group discussed procuring a hotel in Roanoke Rapids, NC as the Host hotel for the Banquet and the Historical Presentation and because of it's history and close association with our family the feasibility of utilizing the old W. S. Creecy school for some of the other gatherings and activities. The Rich Square Men's Club may also be used for some activities.
The Sunday Worship Service will be conducted at Willow Oak AME Church which was the home church of the majority of our early Harvey ancestors.
The group will meet in 2 weeks (Dec. 5th) to report on some of the options discussed at this meeting.
We had our “2nd”2010 Harvey Reunion meeting Saturday 10/17/2009 at 2:00 PM.
The reunion Executive committee members met by conference call and give an update on their committee's plans and progress. Everyone was very excited about the event and have been putting forth a lot of time and effort to make this a memorable occassion for all attendees.
We have some tentative locations identified for various events and everything should be finalized by our next meeting on Saturday, November 21, 2009.
Accommodation information will be distributed as soon as it is available to give everyone time to make reservations.
The first group of registration packets were sent out last week and the Communications committee will be mailing out packets weekly. If you have not recieved your packet and are not sure if we have your address, please visit our "Relatives" page on this site and send us your contact information.
Three new links have been added to the top of this page. The 1st link is a copy of the reunion Invitation Letter that is in the packet inviting everyone to "Save the Date", the 2nd link is the Registration Form that is a PDF form and can be downloaded and/or printed and the third link is a list of PaidRegistrants who have paid or are Honorary and have sent in their registration forms.
We will hopefully have a PayPal account set-up this week so you can pay your fee or donate on the site. If you pay on site through PayPal you will still have to send in your registration form. Be sure to add ages on the form for the children and teenagers as we are trying to capture the attendees ages and schedule adequate activities to accommondate the different age groups.
All registrants who qualify for Honorary status (75 years of age and older) please fill out your registration form "only" (no fee required) and send it in as soon as possible so we can add your name to the Paid Registrants list.
